It is double end capped ( fully ), with mono functional bonding of an 8 carbon silane to our unique 120A silica, making this Column ideal as an Alternate in any USP Method that uses the L7 Classification or for new methods. With a 5 µm Particle, this column works well with higher flow rates and lower back pressures compared with smaller particles. Used for hydrophobic or neutral compounds in Reversed Phase, this Octyl Phase is excellent for long chain fatty acids. Expect shorter retention than with a C18 column. This narrow-bore column requires a pump that can precisely deliver and a flow cell that made for, reduced flow rates with lower volumes.

With a 5µm Particle, this Column works well with higher flow rates producing lower back pressures compared to columns with smaller particles. It is often used to separate Isomers (positional), Tocopherols, Flavonoids, Polynuclear Aromatics, Nitro-Aromatic Compounds, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs), Natural Products and Related Compounds in Reversed Phase HPLC.
